FaMed is the first specialised language test for medicine in Germany to be developed according to international research standards and tested in scientific studies.
The examination was developed by renowned academics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in cooperation with the LMU University Hospital and represents many years of expertise and experience in the fields of linguistics and medical education.
Unlike common professional language exams, you will take the test online/digitally at one of our test centres. To meet the real-world (authentic) demands of professional practice, the OSCE format (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) was chosen for FaMed. This is intended to avoid a dependency relationship between the assessments of the exam areas.
Upon passing the examination, you will be issued a certificate which you can submit to the relevant authority to obtain your licence.
digiFORT Gesundheit und Pflege GmbH conducts the examination in Mainz. The company possesses high levels of expertise on all topics relating to digitalisation in the healthcare sector and comprehensive methodological expertise in digital learning formats.
The digiFORT team ensures that the examination is efficient and goal-oriented. Together, they are dedicated to the task of consistently ensuring a high-quality examination procedure and reducing the shortage of skilled workers in Germany by recognising doctors from abroad.
